Dr. Abigail Powell, PhD, LPDr. Powell grew up in aviation — her father, grandfather, and uncle were all airline pilots, and she's married to a Navy SEAL turned pilot. She is one of the only licensed psychologists in Texas with specialized aviation mental health training who actively serves this community.
Her approach is direct and no-nonsense: skip the fluff, focus on results. She uses CBT, ACT, and lifestyle and nutrition recommendations to optimize mental health — and her goal is always to keep you flying.

A note on diagnosis: Because this is a private pay, out-of-network practice, you are never required to have a diagnosis to receive care. Dr. Powell is clinically rigorous — if you don't qualify for one, you won't receive one. Your records stay between you and your provider. No employer, no airline, no FAA.
